NFCC Logo

The National Foundation for Credit Counseling regularly engages with The United States Congress and with Federal regulatory agencies in order to advocate on behalf of its members. NFCC leadership, staff, and member representatives often meet with key legislative personnel to ensure that consumer financial education efforts are adequately supported through federal programs and federal funding. In addition, the NFCC works closely with federal regulatory agencies such as the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and others to ensure that these agencies’ programs are managed as effectively as possible, and that the NFCC’s efforts to promote access to quality financial education and counseling, as well as safe and affordable financial products, are broadly promoted.
